Insurance and Coverage for Hosts in Argentina

Standard Hosts

Hosts who do not have their own rental policy are protected by TripWip through a policy contracted with Río Uruguay Seguros (RUS), complying with the current regulations established by the Resolution S.S.N. N° 551/2024.

The coverage includes:

  • Liability: Up to $160,000,000 per event.
    (Includes injuries/death of transported and non-transported third parties, and damage to non-transported third-party property).

  • Total and partial damages:
    • Partial damages with a fixed deductible of 5%.
    • Fire, theft or total/partial loss without deductible.
    • Hail damage: up to the insured amount, without deductible.

  • Glass: Replacement without deductible.

  • Wheels: Replacement of wheels due to theft or loss per year, without depreciation.

  • Locks: Up to $300,000 without deductible, for attempted theft.

  • Accident-related damages linked to total theft: Covers up to 10% of the insured amount (max. $890,000).

Commercial Hosts (only Argentina)

In the case of Argentina, hosts also have the option to use their own insurance, as long as:

  • Their policy includes the car rental clause without a driver.

  • The insurance provides coverage for personal use and commercial use for rental purposes.
