When is the rental charged on TripWip?

It depends on the country where the rental takes place. In Mexico, the driver pays 100% through the platform and the host is paid weekly. In Uruguay and Argentina, part is paid in the app and the rest to the host at the time of delivery.

Uruguay & Argentina

What is the payment process?

  • When a user books a vehicle:

    • TripWip receives the payment for the booking.

    • This payment includes the platform's commission and the total value of the insurance.

  • At the time of the initial delivery of the vehicle:

    • The driver must pay the host the remaining amount of the rental.

    • This amount is previously informed in the application.

    • Payment can be made via bank transfer or in cash.

  • It is the host's responsibility to collect the remaining amount from the driver at the time of vehicle delivery.

  • We recommend that hosts provide the driver with a bank account or payment method in advance to avoid inconveniences during the car delivery.

What happens if I do not receive my payment correctly?

  • In case of any issues with the payment, the host must inform the TripWip team to intervene and resolve it.
