TripWip offers specific options and benefits for long-term rentals. These are the policies on discounts and payments:
Discounts for multi-day rentals
Hosts can set up length-of-rental discounts on their vehicles:
3+ days: 10% off the rental price
5+ days: 15% off
7+ days: 20% off
Not every vehicle has discounts enabled. If a discount applies, you'll see it in the price breakdown when you book.
Payment policies
The payment model varies by country:
Mexico: the full payment (rental + insurance + fees + taxes) is charged when the booking is confirmed.
Uruguay and Argentina: TripWip's fee and the insurance are charged when you book; the rest is paid to the host when the vehicle is handed over.
This single charge covers the full amount for the booked period.
Extensions
If you need to extend your rental, you can request an extension in the app. The host approves it and you're charged the corresponding additional amount.
