The discount always applies to the price you pay as a renter; the host's earnings aren't affected.

If you're a driver and refer someone to list their car as a host:
You, as the referring driver, get a $1,600 discount coupon for your next rental once the referred host completes their first rental of at least 3 days.
Your referral (new host) doesn't get a direct benefit in the form of a coupon, but starts earning income by renting out their car on TripWip.
Your benefit comes as a discount coupon on a future trip of yours, in line with TripWip's core offer (renting cars between people) and without affecting the host's earnings.

👉 You promote your vehicle with your host link:
If your car is listed and you want to invite someone to rent on TripWip:
Your referral (new driver) gets $800 off their first rental.
You, as the referring host, get an $800 discount coupon to use on a future rental of your own on TripWip (yes, you can also rent as a driver even if you're a host).
This way, we reward hosts who help bring new drivers to the community and, at the same time, encourage them to experience renting cars on the platform too.
👉 You refer another host:
If you're a host and recommend TripWip to someone so they list their car too:
For each vehicle that gets its first rental of at least 3 days, you earn a $1,600 discount coupon to use on a future rental on TripWip.
The benefit comes as a discount coupon on a future trip of yours and doesn't reduce the earnings of the host who receives the booking.
