How to Add a Second Car to Your Account

Want to add more cars to your host account? Great! You can upload as many as you want. Here's how:

On TripWip there is no limit to how many cars you can have on one account: you can add as many as you want from the same host account. To add a second car, go to Host mode > Vehicles tab and tap the Add Vehicle button in the top right corner. From there you follow the same steps as with your first vehicle.

How do I add a second car from the app?

Follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you are in Host mode (not Driver mode). You can check it from the Profile tab.

  2. Go to the Vehicles tab.

  3. Tap the Add Vehicle button in the top right corner.

  4. Fill in the details of the new car, following the same steps you took with your first vehicle. We go through them here.

Is there a limit to how many cars I can publish?

There is no limit. At TripWip we encourage hosts to publish as many cars as they want. The more cars you have active, the more chances you have to earn through the platform.

Does the second car go through the same verification process?

Yes. Verification is done per car, no matter how many vehicles you already have approved on your account. Each one is reviewed independently to confirm that it meets the requirements and has the right paperwork.

If you want to know more about how verification works, see What happens if your car doesn't pass verification?.

Do I have to submit my personal documents again?

No. When you add another car, you don't need to submit your ID or any other personal host details again. You do have to submit the paperwork for the new car (the ownership document and anything else that applies in your market).

How is each car managed: separately or all together?

Each car is managed completely independently. You have individual control over:

  • Calendar and availability.

  • Prices and discounts.

  • Description and photos.

  • House rules and specific settings.

That lets you, for example, run different strategies depending on the type of car, the area you operate in or the season.

Are reviews per car or per host?

Reviews are per host, not per car. That means your reputation builds up in one place, on your profile, no matter how many cars you publish. A good experience with one of your cars adds to your account's overall reputation and shows on all of your listings.

How do payouts work with several cars?

All the income generated by the cars published on your account goes into the same payout account. You don't have to set anything new up when you add a second car: payments follow the same flow you already have in place for your first vehicle.
