Leaving clear instructions inside the car helps the driver have a better experience and use your vehicle correctly and safely.
We recommend putting together a short document with practical information and basic rules, for example:
Type of fuel (petrol, diesel, premium, and so on).
Where the tools and useful items are (jack, spare wheel, hi-vis vest, warning triangles, wheel wrench, and so on).
Rules for using the vehicle (whether smoking is allowed, tolls, parking, use of a child seat, recommended speed limits, and so on).
Contact numbers (your number and, where relevant, an emergency or roadside assistance contact).
How do you leave these instructions?
You can do it in two ways:
As a printed file: write the text in your editor of choice, print it and leave it in the glovebox or somewhere visible.
By hand: if you prefer something simpler, you can write the instructions neatly and legibly on a sheet of paper.
What matters is that the driver always has this information to hand, so they can use the car with confidence, look after your vehicle better and answer quick questions without having to contact you about every detail.
