In TripWip, the vehicle must be driven exclusively by the user who made the reservation. The person driving must match the account holder validated on the platform.
Driver Requirements
To start the rental, the driver must meet the following conditions:
Be the reservation holder
The account from which the request is made must belong to the person who will drive the vehicle.Valid license
Must have a valid driver's license at the time of rental.Minimum age
The license must be at least 1 year old from its issue date.
Can I add or change the driver?
If you need to add a driver or modify the driver assigned to the reservation, you must contact support before starting the rental.
For the change to be approved:
The new driver must have a registered user in the app.
Their account must be verified and approved.
They must meet the same license and age requirements.
The change is not automatic and must be managed by the support team to keep the coverage active.
What happens if another person drives without authorization?
If during the rental a person other than the reservation holder drives without prior authorization:
The Terms and Conditions of the platform are violated.
The insurance coverage may be voided.
These requirements are part of the community safety rules and are mandatory.
