What payment methods does TripWip accept?
You can book a car on TripWip using an international card enabled in your country.
The available options may vary depending on the location from which you make the reservation.
Examples by country:
Mexico: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, Discover, JCB, among others.
Argentina: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, among others.
Uruguay: Visa, Mastercard, among others.
Important: in Uruguay currently prepaid cards are not enabled.
When does this rule apply?
These conditions apply when:
You want to confirm a reservation on TripWip.
You need to pay for the vehicle rental.
You need to pay the deposit associated with the rental.
You are booking from any country where TripWip operates.
Steps to pay for your reservation
Select the vehicle and rental dates.
Enter your personal details.
Enter the details of your enabled card.
Confirm the payment within the platform.
The payment is processed directly on TripWip.
Can I pay the owner directly in cash instead of paying through the site?
In Uruguay, yes. You must pay the host's earnings directly to them at the time of vehicle delivery, either in cash or by transfer.
In Argentina and Mexico NO it is not possible. You must book and pay for your rental through TripWip as this process activates the coverage of our rental insurance policy. If an owner suggests that you waive the insurance from our app by paying through another means, you run a risk and it also forces you to take one.
