How many kilometers can drivers travel with my vehicle?

Find out how many kilometers drivers can cover with your car on TripWip and how to manage usage limits.

Updated today

According to TripWip's policies, the standard daily mileage limit for using the car is 300 km for private hosts.

Host Responsibility
It is the host's responsibility to validate the mileage at the beginning and end of the rental. If it is found that the driver has exceeded the allowed 300 km per day, a fee will be applied for each kilometer exceeded.

Excess Kilometer Fee

Uruguay: The fee for each kilometer exceeded is $5. This amount will be fully transferred to the host.

Mexico: The fee for each kilometer exceeded is 2.5 MXN and will be directly transferred to the host.

Argentina: An extra charge of $0.15 or its equivalent in Argentine pesos will be applied for each additional kilometer driven.

Recommendations for Hosts:
Initial Verification: Make sure to check and record the odometer at the beginning of the rental.
Final Verification: At the end of the rental, check the odometer again to calculate the total kilometers driven.
Communication with Drivers: Inform them about the daily mileage limit and excess fees from the start to avoid misunderstandings.
Documentation: Keep a clear and detailed record of the kilometers driven for any possible claims.
These measures ensure that the use of the vehicle remains within the agreed limits and that any excess is compensated appropriately.

If you identify an excess in the number of kilometers driven, you must report it at the following link within a maximum period of 48 hours after the rental ends. TripWip will handle collecting the corresponding amount from the driver and then pay it to your account.
