What is our cleaning policy?

Learn about the cleaning policy at TripWip, who is responsible, and what to do if you receive a dirty car

Updated today

It is important to return the car in the same clean condition in which you received it. If you smoke in the vehicle or return it dirtier than it was initially, the owner may request a cleaning fee. To assess this fairly, our team will compare the photos and cleanliness rating at the start of the rental with the final photos, as well as those provided by the owner.

Cleaning Fees
Our team decides whether to apply a fee based on the type and severity of the dirt. This fee may apply to visible dirt inside the car, but also on the outside. This means that if both the interior and exterior of the vehicle are dirty, you may be charged two cleaning fees: one for the interior and another for the exterior.
The amount of the cleaning fee is 10 USD and this will be passed directly to the vehicle host. The fee amount may be increased if the situation warrants it.

Cleaning Compensation

If at the start of your rental the car is still dirty from the previous driver, you can contact our customer service so we can help you find a solution.

Pet Policy

Drivers must understand and accept that pets are not allowed in a vehicle, except in those that indicate in their description as "Pet Friendly." In all cases, drivers must ensure that pets have a seat protector during the rental and return the vehicle clean. Transporting your pet in a non-pet-friendly vehicle will result in a cleaning charge, as mentioned above.
