How to Prepare Your Car for the First Rental

1️⃣ Confirm the reservation details

  • Check the date, time, and place of delivery.

  • Make sure you can be available at that time.


2️⃣ Prepare your car to be in its best version

A clean and well-maintained vehicle not only builds trust but also helps receive better ratings.

  • Exterior and interior cleaning: Wash the car, vacuum it, and remove personal items.

  • Basic check: Check oil, fuel, brake fluid, and coolant levels.

  • Tire pressure: Adjust it to the manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Accessories: Make sure to include everything the vehicle offers (fire extinguisher, spare tire, tools).


3️⃣ Documentation and requirements

  • Have the documents that prove the vehicle is authorized to drive on hand.

  • Confirm that the documentation matches what is registered in the app.


4️⃣ At the time of delivery

  • Respect the scheduled time.

  • Do a quick walk around the vehicle to check its condition with the driver.

  • Make sure the driver takes photos of the car following the guide and uploads them to the app before handing it over (exterior, interior, and mileage).

  • Explain the operation of special features: central locking, bluetooth, cameras, etc.

  • Only for Uruguay: request the driver to pay the corresponding rental fee, by transfer or cash, as you indicate.


5️⃣ After the rental

  • Check the condition of the car upon receiving it.

  • Take photos and upload them to the app, following the guide.

  • Report any incidents through TripWip's channels as soon as possible.
