Rental Agreement: Host Responsibilities

Review the host's responsibilities and key steps to ensure a safe experience with each rental.

Updated today

Each time a reservation is made through TripWip, a digital contract is automatically generated between the host and the driver. This agreement is backed by our Terms and Conditions, and establishes rights and obligations for both parties.

Below, we detail the main responsibilities of the host when delivering a rental vehicle.

1. Deliver the vehicle in optimal and legal conditions

The vehicle must be:

  • Clean and with the interior in good condition

  • With the agreed fuel level

  • Mechanically in a condition to drive safely

  • With all mandatory documents

⚠️ It is the host's responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is in order before handing it over.

2. Comply with the agreed schedule

You must be present at the established place and time to deliver and receive the vehicle. Punctuality builds trust and enhances the driver's experience.

3. Collect the amount indicated by the app at the time of delivering the car

When a driver makes a reservation, they pay through the app only the TripWip commission and the insurance.
The rest of the amount must be paid directly to the host at the time of picking up the vehicle.

The app indicates to the driver how much they need to pay you. As a host, you must collect that amount before handing over the car.

💡 Do not hand over the vehicle until you have received the corresponding payment.

4. Report any irregularities

If something does not feel right or you notice an unusual situation, contact us before handing over the car. Our team is here to help you prevent problems.
