When and how do I receive a refund? Policies and steps to follow

A refund applies if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance or if the host cancels. The refund is processed to the same payment method and may take between 5 and 10 days.

In what cases do I receive a refund after a cancellation?

The Driver may receive a refund if:

  • They canceled a reservation up to 48 hours before the start date of the rental.

  • The reservation is canceled by the host, having previously accepted it.

In the second case, there is also the possibility of accepting, subject to availability, another vehicle listed on the platform with similar characteristics.

From the amount to be refunded, chargebacks and any other costs derived from the reservation and return operations charged by the payment method (MercadoPago) will be deducted, which will be borne by the Driver.

In what cases do I not receive a refund after a cancellation?

No refund will be made when the rental is canceled with less than 48 hours' notice or during its execution. No refund will be due from the payment platform used (MercadoPago), TripWip, and/or the Owner to the Driver.

How is the refund processed and how long does it take?

The refund will be processed automatically to the payment method entered by the Driver on the Platform. Once the refund is made from the MercadoPago platform, the amount may take between 5 and 10 days to be reflected in the user's account statement.
