Is the reservation immediate or does it need to be accepted?

At TripWip, every reservation requires the host's approval to be confirmed. The rental is only finalized when the vehicle owner accepts the request; it is not automatically confirmed.

How does the approval process work?

The flow is as follows:

1. Submission of request

The driver:

  • Selects dates and times.

  • Reviews the estimated price.

  • Sends the request from the app.

At that moment, the reservation is pending approval.


2. Host approval

The host receives the request and can:

  • Accept it.

  • Reject it.

  • Let it expire if they do not respond.

For the rental to be confirmed, the host must approve the request.


3. Confirmation and payment

Once the host accepts:

  • The reservation is automatically confirmed.

  • Payment is processed according to the country.

  • The dates are blocked on the calendar.

  • Delivery coordination is enabled.

Without approval, no charge is made and there is no confirmed reservation.


How long does confirmation take?

The confirmation time depends on how long it takes the host to approve the request.

In general, approval is usually quick, but it can vary depending on:

  • Host availability.

  • Time the request is sent.


How can I speed up the process?

If you need to confirm a car as soon as possible, you can:

  • Send requests to multiple cars simultaneously.

The system works as follows:

  • The first host to approve automatically confirms the rental.

  • The other pending requests are automatically canceled.

  • Only the payment corresponding to the confirmed reservation is processed.

This helps reduce waiting times and increases the chances of getting a vehicle quickly.
