At TripWip, we want hosts and drivers to have a simple and transparent experience. That's why we have defined these options to manage toll costs during rentals:
**1. If the host has a TAG device installed**
Automatic registration: Tolls are recorded in the host's account when passing through the booths.
Report to TripWip: in this form, the amount of charges generated during the rental
Charge to the driver: TripWip deducts the costs from the driver's registered card and releases the amount to the host along with the rental payment.
This option automates the process and avoids costs for the host.
2. Direct payment by the driver**
In cash: The driver can pay manually at each booth.
Reimbursement: If the host covers the tolls, the driver must reimburse them at the end of the trip.
3. Advance payment to the host
Prior estimation: Toll costs are agreed upon before the trip.
Direct charge: The host receives the amount in cash or through a private agreement.
**Recommendations**
Communicate clearly: Define the handling of tolls before the rental.
Keep receipts: Maintain proof as backup.
Use TAG if possible: Simplify the process and avoid setbacks.
At TripWip, we aim to ensure clear agreements and a worry-free experience for all users.
